As part of our ongoing site investigation and characterization work, we have been drilling several monitoring wells in the Mt. Eyre neighborhood. Additional monitoring wells will be installed at two additional locations in the Mt. Eyre neighborhood on Walker Road. This work is scheduled to begin as early as Monday, September 8, 2025.
During this work, sound walls will be installed around each drilling site as appropriate to mitigate noise. For this phase of work, no road closures are anticipated.
Residents will observe drilling equipment and support vehicles in the neighborhood during this work, and drilling equipment may remain on site overnight. Drilling activities will be conducted between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Equipment setup and site cleanup may occur outside of this time frame, as approved by Upper Makefield Township.
These monitoring wells will be used to evaluate groundwater quality as part of our continued site investigation and characterization work. The work is being completed under the oversight of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection in accordance with the Act 2 regulations, as part of our response to the pipeline release.
In addition to this email notification, courtesy notifications will be provided by phone to residents near each of the proposed MW locations.
