Upper Makefield Response

This website is designed to provide background information and updates related to a pipeline release that occurred in the Mt. Eyre neighborhood in Upper Makefield Township, Bucks County, PA, impacting residential wells. This website, operated by Energy Transfer, aims to inform impacted residents and provide resources.

Pursuant to our Public Involvement Plan, Sunoco Pipeline, L.P. (SPLP) will receive comments on our Remedial Action Plan that has been submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. The Remedial Action Plan details the remediation options that SPLP has evaluated and selected to address the release of petroleum products in the Mt. Eyre neighborhood of Upper Makefield Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The report can be viewed on our incident website on the Act 2 page, as well as in person at the Upper Makefield Township building. Public comments will be accepted through August 3, 2026, and can be sent via email to uppermakefieldact2@energytransfer.com or submitted in writing to SPLP’s office at 525 Fritztown Road, Sinking Spring, PA 19608. SPLP will host a public meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday July 8, 2026, at the Crossing Church (1895 Wrightstown Road, Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania 18977). The purpose of the meeting will be to receive public comments on the Remedial Action Report.
